I Started Going Anyway.
For a long time, I thought doing things required having someone to do them with. If schedules didn't line up or no one was interested, I'd usually just think, maybe next time.
Eventually, I started going anyway.
I showed up to events alone, explored new places, signed up for things simply because they sounded interesting to me and somewhere along the way, it completely changed the way I experienced my life.
I discovered hobbies I never knew I'd love, learned things I never would have sought out otherwise, met new people, and became so much more connected to my community. More importantly, I learned a lot about myself, what I actually enjoy when no one else is choosing the plan.
That's where Rocks, Talks & Walks came from.
There are so many interesting things happening around us, but they're scattered across dozens of calendars, websites and community pages. I wanted to create one place that makes them easier to find and maybe makes it a little easier for someone else to go, too.
Bring a friend. Find someone in the community. Or show up alone.
Just don't keep waiting for “someday” to start enjoying where you are.
