I Have a Gemini Stellium, So I Can Never STFU

I’ve been a maladaptive daydreamer for as long as I can remember. My mind is constantly going, and in the last few years, I’ve realized that finding different ways to journal and get my thoughts out has genuinely helped me change my life.

Journaling has become a way for me to express my feelings, work through my thoughts, and make sense of whatever is going on in my head.

And apparently, I’ve decided that keeping all of these thoughts to myself is no longer enough.

So now I’m posting them on the internet.

Naturally.

I’ve created this event page to share the events I’m attending, or would like to attend, around the Valley. But the original reason I started Rocks, Talks & Walks was because I wanted a clear, organized calendar of things to do.

I wanted somewhere I could go to find new experiences without having to spend hours looking for them.

And while I might have accidentally created something that solves a problem for other women, I was really just trying to solve a problem for myself.

This journal is another example of that.

I love to journal, and I do it in a few different ways.

I have a personal journal that’s also my manifestation journal. It’s filled with goals, affirmations, reflections, and sometimes little incantations and spells.

Because obviously.

I have another journal that’s strictly for my novel. I like to keep it near me when I travel because sometimes an idea will randomly pop into my head, and I want to be able to write it down before I forget it.

I’ve also started using my Kindle Scribe in the same way. That way, I can read a book when I want to, or work on my own book while I’m on the go.

And then there’s my Notes app.

I’ve actually been keeping a journal in my Notes app for years. It was one of the first ways I started consistently journaling, and looking back through those entries has been such an interesting experience.

I can see different periods of my life and what I was trying to work through at the time.

Sometimes it was improving my self-worth. Sometimes it was getting really clear on my goals. Sometimes it was just trying to understand why I felt the way I did.

And now, apparently, it’s writing blog posts.

What I’ve realized is that journaling has given me a way to take all of the thoughts constantly running through my head and actually do something with them.

Some of those thoughts have turned into goals. Some have turned into personal growth. Some have turned into an entire fantasy novel.

And some have turned into a website where I can share the things I’m learning and experiencing with other women.

Working through my thoughts, even when it’s just with myself, has been an incredibly healing experience for me.

And while journaling isn’t a replacement for professional therapy, it’s become one of my favorite ways to understand myself a little better.

As much as I love therapy, this works for me too.

And by therapy, I mean I have an energy healer, not an actual therapist.

Hope this helps lol.

All my love,

Kaitlin
